Get hired in Germany. The right way.

The format. The wording. The unwritten rules. All correct, all sourced.

Applying to Germany feels like shouting into silence.

You send 30 applications. Nothing comes back.

It’s not your experience. German recruiters expect a format nobody told you about — and they decide in seconds.

The rules exist — scattered across laws, forums and outdated guides. We put them in one place, with sources.

Not another AI generator

Recruiters can tell.

Most applicants already use AI — with their real experience. The result still sounds the same: the same openers, the same phrases, hundreds of times a week. Recruiters skip what sounds like everyone else. Firstday maps your experience to the job’s actual requirements, drafts in the structure German employers expect, and you approve every sentence. It reads specific — because it is.

“I am writing to express my strong interest…”

“Led the CI/CD migration at Zalando — deployments 4× faster.”

Questions

Should I apply in German or English?
Match the job ad. If the ad is in English, apply in English. The CV rules are different in each language, and we build both.
Verified claim: Application language follows the job ad, source Karriereakademie — englische Stellenanzeige
Do I need to speak German?
For many jobs, no. Tech and international companies hire in English, and the Chancenkarte visa works with English alone (B2 level). We tell you which documents need which language.
Verified claim: Chancenkarte basic language requirement, source Make it in Germany (Bundesregierung)
I’ve never worked in Germany — is this for me?
Yes — that’s most of our users. The visa check, the CV, and the cover letter are built for people applying from outside. Only the reference-letter decoder needs a German work history. Everything else starts from zero.
I already work in Germany — is it still useful?
Yes. Job applications inside Germany follow the same rules. And this is where the reference-letter decoder matters: your employer must give you an Arbeitszeugnis when you leave, and they grade you in coded phrases. Decode it before you send it anywhere.
Verified claim: Legal right to an Arbeitszeugnis, source Gewerbeordnung §109 (gesetze-im-internet.de)
How is this different from ChatGPT?
A chatbot guesses — confidently, and often from last year’s rules. We do the hideous part instead. Every rule here — the CV format, the photo question, the reference-letter codes, the visa thresholds — is checked against its official source and dated. When Germany changes a rule, we update it. And your documents are drafted from your own experience: you approve every sentence.
How is this different from resume builders?
Resume builders sell templates built without regard to where you’re applying. A German application is not a style choice — it follows rules: a fixed CV structure, strict cover-letter conventions, separate rules for English. We build exactly what German employers expect. No score meters, no locked previews, no trial that converts silently.
